Ack, this is most likely the bug you can fix with this patch:

I'm working on a few other bug cases, but I intend to release another curl
package really soon due to this problem.

This particular problem only appears on Linux-machines compiled IPv4-only.

Yes, I do feel bad about this blatantly stupid mistake. But then again, no
one else found it either! ;-)
