curl_easy_setopt() now copies input strings

Hi,
i know this would be more an issue for the libcurl-list, but because
i'm not reading that list...
I had some problems with ntlm-auth with curl-7.13.0 and decided to
upgrade to the latest version. And indeed, 7.17.1 works fine! ;-)
But then i read in the manpage that curl_easy_setup() now copies its
input-parameters if these are strings, and i wondered if the user has
to free this memory somehow, or if the lib manages this by itself.
I assume the latter, but just to be sure...
