OK, so I downloaded 1.4.0 (latest version I could find, is there a newer
one?) and was informed I needed a newer version of libgcrypt. I got
that.
It configured and make'd fine, but when I do a make check, I get the
following:

[couple thousand errors ommitted]
16 of 16 tests failed
