Mallocs Internal Implementation Clarifications

Hi,
 
    I want to use libcurl for data transfers,
 
   I have a query:
   If i want to transfer 4MB file to a remote machine.
 
   Will the Lib code do a Malloc of 4MB and then transfer the data.
 
 
   How is it done ?
 
 
 Please Clarify.
