Better start from the version in CVS or the latest daily build tarball rather
than 7.15.3. Plenty has changed in the almost 2 months since 7.15.3 was
released, and Daniel has said he's hoping to release a new version shortly.

You'll need some kind of TLS library. libcurl supports OpenSSL and GnuTLS
and the YaSSL people claim that it works with libcurl as well. It's possible
one of the other SSL libraries will be smaller and easier to port.

Yes, there's a test suite included in the source code. 'make test' will run
it, but you're going to need to port perl to PalmOS first :^)
