So far I have been using rtmpdump for that,
and this is a sample command line:

    rtmpdump --host "VOD.DasErste.de" --app "ardfs/" --playpath "mp4:videoportal/mediathek/Polizeiruf+110/c_120000/126955/format130594.f4v" -o "Polizeiruf_110--Aquarius.mp4.flv"

How would this translate to a curl command line?
