[curl:bugs] #1416 Long pre-transfer delay using axTLS non-blocking connect

Since non-blocking works perfectly well with other TLS backends I suspect the problem exists in either something in the libcurl adaption code for using axtls or in axTLS itself. But it requires that someone debugs the problem to find out more details on this.

As far as recommending TLS libraries, I can point to our comparison chart: http://curl.haxx.se/docs/ssl-compared.html

Hey everyone,
Using axTLS for SSL adds a funny 6-7 second delay on multiple platforms, with the latest cURL and axTLS releases. After digging further, this went away when we disable the non-blocking connect function, using only the blocking version.
I'm not sure if someone more familiar with the project might readily know why?
BTW, axtls.c doesn't compile on Windows, unistd.h needs to be commented, and Sleep(1) needs to be used instead of usleep(10000).
Thanks!
