hpux64-parisc2-cc Shared Libraries

Currently, on HP-UX B.11 (64), building curl-7.9.1 (and curl-7.9.3)
yields shared libraries that are in this format:
PA-RISC2.0 shared library
as reported by the file command. I need to build ELF-64 shared
libraries -- i.e., where file reports:
ELF-64 shared object file - PA-RISC 2.0 (LP64)
Anyone know the magic configure incantation to build ELF-64 shared
libraries? TIA.
