Thank you for the replies, Daniel, I appreciate you taking the time to look into this with me.

However, the -H Expect didn't seem to affect the outcome in any way. I'll keep examining this to see if I can figure anything out.

Perhaps. Try disabling curl's header with '-H Expect:'.
