OS: from $ uname -a:
	HP-UX spanky B.10.20 B 9000/821 2015025534 16-user license
cURL:  from curl --version
curl 7.9.6 (hppa1.1-hp-hpux10.20) libcurl 7.9.6 (OpenSSL 0.9.6c)
Command lines:
1) curl http://slicetest.power.bpa.gov
2) lynx http://slicetest.power.bpa.gov
3) http_post http://slicetest.power.bpa.gov
cURL returns a "Can't resolve" error, the other two return HTML.

The only other bit of info that I can see as being useful is that if
I do a traceroute from "spanky" to "slicetest", it can't get past the
host 216.64.144.86.  This is because the security rules don't allow
ping sweeps.  The appearance that cURL is being blocked by a security
rule that prevents ping sweeps, while lynx and http_post aren't (to
me) makes the problem more baffling.
