The version I attached here works fine for me - I'd say it was a bug in
libcurl. I'm using 7.10.5 with WWW::Curl 2.0.

Yes, it is quite old now. You didn't say which version of Curl::easy (or now,
WWW::Curl) you are using, but I don't think there is anything in there which
would cause this.
