Initial Comment:
The attached patch adds (filename-only) directory
listing support
for file: URLs to curl.

With an ftp: URL, fetching a directory name (with a
trailing slash)
gives a listing of that directory. However, with a
file: URL, fetching
a directory name (with or without the trailing slash)
returns the raw
binary data for the directory.

This patch causes curl to return a list of files when
given a file: URL
that specifies a directory name with a trailing slash.
(Without the
trailing slash, it returns the raw directory data as
before.)
