Hi,

a few days ago, I placed a message in this list that a call to
curl_easy_perform crashes when our nameserver is down. Since Daniel told
me that cURL - build without any special options - uses the ordinary
system name resolve call and this one maybe causes the problems, I tried
to repeat things on another machine and was not able to crash the system
there.

Thus, it seems that not cURL but our SuSE 7.1 has some problems,
