No, this will not be done by libcurl, not even in the future.

This has been mentioned before, and there have been libraries mentioned that
can perform such operations. One of them being 'liburi' =>

Some people have mentioned a desire for a better one (it is said to be rather
big for only doing URI parsing), but I'm not aware of anyone has written a
replacement or have other recomendations.
