I plan to NOT make them usable in any kind of public API! ;-)

libcurl is about transferring data and I'm striving at polishing up the API to
only be related to that[*]. Hashes and lists are not.

That is perfectly OK, as long as you obey the license.

[*] = which is why a few current functions are marked deprecated and will be
       removed from the public API in the future
