a very newbie question

To all,
I am looking at using curl for ftp based file transfers from Windows to
LINUX machines, I am looking at the sample ftpupload.c. How do I
determine that src file "d:\tmp\ttt" is going to remote machine
/usr/reza/mytext? If I dont supply a path were does it end up?
