curl-library
verification of certificate

Do anyone know can libcurl do the verification jobs
without connections ? I am talking about , what I want
to do is I already get a certificate(on my local
machine) from a server, can I use libcurl to do the
verification ? I am not talking about after I connect
to a server oh~~
If I can use libcurl that way, do anyone know which
library or uitility I can use (with source code)
