httpproxytunnel problem

hi,
I try to use the httpproxytunnel option to use the CONNECT function of the
proxy to connect to a host.
When executing curl_easy_perform it returns an error code 56 , which says
"failure when receiving data from the peer".
The proxy supports the connect method....I tried to use https websites with
a browser.
What can I do ??
