Hello,

 

The ./configure script generate several output like this:

 

./configure[31742]: ${"$as_ac_var"}: bad substitution

./configure[31742]: test: argument expected

checking deeper for poll... yes!

checking for getrlimit... ./configure[31740]: ${$as_ac_var}: bad substitution

./configure[31741]: ${$as_ac_var}: bad substitution

 

Maybe the compilation did not work due to this error?

Is 'cc' really a ANSI C compiler? If it is, are you sure there's no particular

command line option required for it to act like one?

 

It's been a great while since I did any AIX myself so I don't recall the

details, but curl has built fine on AIX for ages using the xlc compiler.

 

(I actually once was an IBM employee!)
