I agree, it could indeed be useful. It did however not apply cleanly in my
end, since the patch is oddly formatted:

$ patch -p4 < patches/curl_entrypath_patch.txt
patching file include/curl/curl.h
patch: **** malformed patch at line 17: } CURLINFO;

Can you double-check your local version of or method of creating this patch?
