The release note of 7.15.1 says: "binary LDAP properties are now shown
base64 encoded"

However when quering Active Directory with that version, I still get
non-encoded binary content (e.g. for objectSid and objectGUID).

Does anybody know under what criteria an LDAP attribute is treated as binary
and encoded accordingly in the response?

I've found some posts from last year where people argued about using
CURLOPT_TRANSFERTEXT. This didn't do anything for me though :-(
