pipelining and the socket API is indeed not a good combo right now. The socket
API got designed to expect that each easy handle has a set of private sockets,
and this is no longer the case with pipelining.

I'll see what I can do about it, or rather if I have a go at a fix before or
after the 7.16.0 release.
