How to build the x86 version on a PPC OSX box

Hi,
Has anyone been able to successfully build the x86 version of libcurl
with their PPC machine? This is on Mac OS X running the latest. I've
found a couple sites that list how to do it but I haven't been able
to make it build without errors.
