What about using a non-existing TLD? I.e. not .com, .org or any known
or likely TLD. E.g. 'non-existing-host.never'

I once tried to find some free .com domains for my own purchase, after
a fruitless search I figured that pretty much any real word in the
dictionary was taken already..
