libcurl builds up on BSD sockets API.

So before going any further with libcurl, you must be able to compile
the following snippet using VDSP++ and whatever libraries you need in
order to use BSD-like sockets API.

  sock = socket(AF_INET, SOCK_STREAM, 0);
