   No it did listen on 9999. I think we are almost there now, after putting
the `for loop' which Linus gave, I see this

   "0A0A0A00..." followed by N squares.

ie. new-line characters.

   I think(not sure) it was my goof up; As between the two tests, to clear
up some space on the `nc -k' terminal, (unknowingly)I would hit
return/enter multiple times and...
