simple.c doesn't work...

Hi,everyone!
I just compiled the simple.c(an example code of curl
website:http://curl.haxx.se/lxr/source/docs/examples/simple.c),but when
I ran it,it didn't work,it didn't display anyting...
what should I do to fix it?
any suggestion is appreciated.
