A week has passed with no reply, so I'll ask again:
Are you planning to develop this mode?
Is there a way I can help with this development effort?

Is there a way that I could help in the development effort (I'm using curl a lot, but never looked into the code)?

both etc.

I like CURLOPT_HIDE_HEADERS.

Suggested values of the enum:

CURL_HTTP_AUTH
CURL_HTTP_REDIRECT

Thanks for the professional and quick responses.
