cUrl got introduced in 10.2 Jaguar as Nick Zitzmann already mentioned.

Here is the code for that version:
http://opensource.apple.com/source/curl/curl-5/curl/

It seems to be LIBCURL_VERSION "7.7.2" according to the include/curl/curl.h
file.
