Curl's cert_hostcheck and hostmatch are static to OpenSSL

Hi,
At the moment the functions cert_hostcheck and hostmatch are static
functions in the lib/ssluse.c file. I need these in axTLS too.
I wish to put it somewhere generic:
Options are:
- a completely new file
- lib/rawstr.c
Any opinions?
