7.12.1 was released on Aug 10 2004! We've done at least 1267 bug fixes since
then[*]. Your OpenSSL version is also extremely old.

We're not in a position where we can spend a lot of time to chase problems in
anchient versions. Please try a recent version and then tell us if the problem
remains.
