You're being very vague here so it is hard to tell exactly what's going on.
First you don't mention which libcurl version you're using nor which
SSL/crypto backend it was built to use. Is this libcurl even made to support
NTLM?

Then you speak of "It" in the above sentense with little details. I assume you
mean that the HTTP server responds with a 401 code because libcurl doesn't
want to speak the authentication it asks for, or is it something else?
