heck no .. prune it .. burn it to the ground.

Add a bit of whiskey and that issue goes away. Add too much and a lot
  of them go away.

However really, in my own experience, telling users about "source" will
get a complete stunned look. The bulk of the world just lives with
whatever some package service gives them. Beyond that there are the
little furry people who look at sources and build from source. They
mostly live in caves however and you won't find them in the user
community.
