AW: curl-7.59.0 --disable-pthreads

I am confused, I wanted to disable pthreads, because the machine does not support it. Somehow I stumbled on the solution by deactivating the threaded-resolver and this deactivated the pthreads.

If --disable-pthreads is a valid option, why doesnt it disable the pthreads? For what is this option good for?

Thank you.

Best regards,

                          Enable threaded resolver
                          Disable threaded resolver
--enable-pthreads Enable POSIX threads (default for threaded resolver)
  --disable-pthreads Disable POSIX threads

That seems correct!

Not quite. That report said --disable-threaded-resolver didn't work, and as
the report states it was fixed within a day and from what I can tell it still

It's actually not really clear to me what --disable-pthreads should do that
--disable-threaded-resolver doesn't already do...
