Ouch. A lot of programs come with their own curl-ca-bundle.crt: Atlassian
Sourcetree, PortableGit by Github, R (statistics). Apparently one of them found
it necessary to put a curl-ca-bundle.crt in C:\Windows\System32. That one is
automatically used by curl x64.

Sorry, it was not the Windows certificate store.
