Summary: ftps doesn't work for AIX

Initial Comment:
AIX 5.2
curl v7.16.2 and 7.17.0
openSSL 0.9.8e

Problem:
both implicit and explicit mode has problems for ftps:
Tried same commands on Windows, no problem.

Explicit mode:
./curl --ftp-ssl -v -k ftp://test:test@192.168.160.160/in/ttt.txt

return:
* About to connect() to 192.168.160.160 port 21 (#0)

It could be a Filezilla issue, or it could be a problem with the OpenSSL
version you're using. In any case, it doesn't look like a curl issue.

I tried ftp.g6ftpserver.com, it works!
So it could be a Filezilla issue?

You could try the public URL ftp://ftp.g6ftpserver.com/

It's exact same curl/openssl code running on windows and AIX.
And today I tried SunOS, got same error. Looks like all unix based
platforms hits.
HTTPS is ok.
The ftps server I use is Filezella 0.9.18 Beta on Windows(if any other
public ftps server I can use, let me know).
problem happening 100% of the times.

It's the exact same code running on Windows as it is for AIX. Can you
check the OpenSSL versions compared to the ones in the windows version you
use? If they differ, can you try the working one on AIX as well to rule out
that?

Does HTTPS work fine? Is this problem only with this single site or with
all FTPS servers? Is the problem happening 100% of the times you try
against this server?

Does this happen every time? Could this be the same problem as discussed
at http://curl.haxx.se/mail/archive-2007-10/0129.html ?
