Summary: CURL_SSH error when "nodirexist" using "windows style sftp"

Initial Comment:
Relevant information:
curl version - 7.19.4
sftp server: SSH Tectia Server - version 6.0.9.24
server's os: windows XP SP 3

so, when i'm trying to use a path - for non existing folder (using windows style path /C:/example), i get CURL_SSH error, instead of CURLE_REMOTE_FILE_NOT_FOUND.

When i try to find that path in filezilla, he does says that the directory doesnt exist (same style /C:/example)

attached - a screenshot from the debugger.

thanks

Sounds like a good approach. Let me know how it turns out and if it still
bugs then, we need to proceed with more details...

Message:
well i can try that with more recent version of libssh2

I think the only thing that needs to be repeated, is to raise a current
version of the curl with libssh2, against that tectia server on windows
(that uses dos style url).
if it works there, then we will sure upgrade the version (we just don't
have time to start a dev and QA cycle for something that was not surely
fixed)...

what do you think?

Message:
That libssh2 version is very old and I would not recommend using it.

I don't know if this is a bug we've specifically fixed or seen in the past,
but I can't repeat it with current versions on my system.

libssh2 version : 1.1

Was this a known bug? i don't have dev time to change versions if its not
fixed sadly..

and when i use verbose, there's only a connection output to the screen, but
when i try to use the file list transaction, nothing is printed.

I can't repeat this.

What libssh2 version are you using? What if you try a more recent libcurl
version? Can you show us the trace output CURLOPT_VERBOSE shows when you
try this operation?

Message:
By the way, if i'm searching with curl a directory that exists (for example
/C:/ - and assuming i have permissions on it), everything is fine, its only
for folders that doesnt exist.
