[curl:bugs] #1063 Curl doesn't FTP empty files

We ask for reconsideration. We use automated processes with curl and rely on the file to be transferred. We are a Data Warehouse with over 90 source systems feeding our work queue mostly be curl. We are successfully coding uploads with -T with empty files as well as nul to touch files in Unix. Quite unexpected that the converse was not the case. This is a problem for our automated processes that the zero byte files are not transferring. We will need to "touch" the files if we can't get them transferred. Is there an error or return code set that can be used by scripts to handle the case where a zero byte file is not transferred?

Hi,
I have been searching the Curl help, homepage and google but can't find how to force curl copy empty files.
The file exists on the FTP site and I would like it to be created on the local machine, even if it is empty.
is this possible?
