ANNOUNCE: curl 7.7.3
Date: Mon, 7 May 2001 12:55:10 +0200 (MET DST)
Curl and libcurl 7.7.3 have now been fixed up and released! It corrects a
series of bugs we've found in earlier releases.
Get curl 7.7.3 from http://curl.haxx.se/download.html. As usual, allow some
time before the popular binary archives are up-to-date with this.
This release includes the following fixes:
o The libcurl callbacks now take 'void *' instead of 'FILE *'.
o Mixed chunked-encoding transfers on persistent connections work
o HTTP 304 replies are treated better
o HTTP 'Content-Length: 0' is treated better
o Faster FTP command sessions
o Connection re-use now works with non-default port numbers
o The openssl version string is written correctly
Notes:
o TELNET does _not_ work on windows
o FTPS still doesn't work properly
This release would not have looked like this without help, reports and advice
from these friendly people:
Sterling Hughes, Cris Bailiff, Brad Burdick, Giuseppe D'Ambrosio, Dave
Hamilton, Linus Nielsen Feltzing
