When you say "pure data", do you mean the --trace (hex) view, or do you mean the BODY (content) portion of the --trace-ascii view?

If you're referring to the hex view, I don't think we want this behavior, and my patch accounts for that (it looks at the nohex variable).

If you're referring to the ascii view of the body, I'm not certain. I *think* I prefer the way my patch handles it, with the newlines broken out as actual newlines. But I'm open to suggestion...

outgoing).

But do we really want this for pure data too?
