Curl and libcurl 7.9.8 is out! This is mainly a bugfix release.

Get curl 7.9.8 from http://curl.haxx.se/download.html. As usual, allow some
time before the popular binary archives are up-to-date with this.

This release includes the following changes:

 o curl_formadd() can do file upload parts from buffer
 o libcurl can be built with specific protocols disabled
 o should build nicely with modified OpenSSL 0.9.7 API
 o win32 timers now use higher resolution
 o CURLOPT_CAPATH was added (--capath on the command line)
 o CURLOPT_NETRC now supports optional or required netrc mode
 o curl_formadd() now returns a CURLFORMcode type, not a plain int.

This release includes the following bugfixes:

 o name resolves can now time-out properly (on unix-like systems)
 o an empty connect failure error message was filled in
 o when curl_easy_perform() failed on an ftp transfer, it could leak a socket
 o a curl_multi_remove_handle() crash was removed
 o windows versions will no longer complain on "weak seeding"
 o 64bit architectures could crash in the name resolve code
 o CURLINFO_REQUEST_SIZE now works as documented
 o CURLINFO_REDIRECT_TIME returns a correct time now
 o getting an empty FTP file does not cause an error anymore
 o curl_multi_perform() works without curl_multi_fdset()
 o re-using a connection over a proxy could do bad Host: headers
 o CURLOPT_POST with a "" string could lead to a crash.
 o better certificate loading
 o Name resolve crash on platforms without *_r() functions removed
 o minor compiler problems on FreeBSD fixed
