curl output to string

I would like to put the output of a http request made with curl from
c++. I tried to do it with the example file getinmemory.c, but I can't
put the output from chunk.memory to a string or a char array, I always
get an exception. I'm new to c, so that's possible that it's a very easy
thing, and only I can't do that.
