Curl: HTTP Authentication Failure

I've been trying to connect to a web service via SOAP and am using this
command line :-

curl-7.15.4\curl.exe -U "myusername:mypassword" -d "@c:\test.xml" -H
"Content-Type: text/xml" -v -H "SOAPAction: myURL" myURL

And get the fiollowing result :-

Basically I've been supplied a username and password to use the service.

When I go to the web site and use a facility to list the web services it
offers an Internet Explorer authentication login/permission box and the
username and password supplied lets me through.

However using the cURL tool it doesn't want to play !!!!

Can anyone suggest how I can debug this or alternative ways of supplying the
username and password.
