Argh. Indeed not! The fix in 7.19.0 simply fixed the _sending_ part and not
the _receiving_ part of the same problem.

We need a Curl_plain_read() to use for the SOCKS code in the same style I made
the Curl_plain_write() before. I'll see what I can do...
