Configure script generation and resulting configure script has changed
_so_ much since version 7.18.2 that I really don't feel like looking
back at something that is most sure already fixed in current versions.

Could you try version 7.19.5 and verify if the problem still exists?
Or are you absolutely tied to version 7.18.2?
