Well, I just type:
   curl "http://www.google.com"

And I get:
<html><head><meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html;
charset=ISO-8859
-1"><title>Google</title><style><!--
body,td,a,p,.h{font-family:arial,sans-serif;}
.h{font-size: 20px;}
.q{color:#0000cc;}
//-->
</style>
<script>
<!--
   [---]
<a href=/intl/en/about.html>About Google</a></font><p><font size=-2>&c
opy;2006 Google</font></p></center></body></html>

So, the standard questions apply: Firewall authentication? Proxies? Correct
code?
