Thanks Morgan for your reply. It took awhile, but what
you suggested finally worked for me and the problem
with a 'cached' page was in what was being sent.
You're right about the 'pain' of getting verbose
output on a server...

It was traced simply to a typo:

....CURLOPT_POSTFIELD, $data_array)

Sometimes it is sooo hard to see the missing "S"

Learned alot today. :-)
