Re: CURLOPT_PASSWDFUNCTION

Hi all

I reconsidered my last posting about a new authentification callback
last night and found most of my new thought in my email inbox this
morning :-)

Daniel asked why to introduce a new callback.
It could make it easier for people not too familiar with curl.
Not only for the ones that write it, but also the ones that have to read
and understand it later.
Various data could be bundeled obviously as its parameters, like:
- authentification scheme (BASIC|DIGEST|NTLM)
- realm
- hostname
- host type (proxy|destination host|host after redirection)
- curl easy handle

Sample programs will look leaner if there is no loop around them.

To url-encode the domain_user_passwd string sound very good.

I thought it for something like hostname and/or realm, but to keep them
separate appears better to me now.

FTP can be done over a proxy as well. There won't be a realm string, but
why not.

Sure, we could also cope without it.
