Apparently it's a cunning plan to reduce energy expenditure by not
wasting morning daylight by sleeping through it. There are all kinds
of drawbacks, though, which will become apparent in due time. Such as
automated devices that know when to switch, that will now get it
wrong... Maybe that's part of the cunning plan - stimulate the
economy by obsoleting consumer electronics, but that's a topic for a
different forum...
