Winsock and CURL

Hi,

 

I have the following question:

 

How does CURL internally manage sockets on Windows. I could look in the
code but just thought I would get the answer right away -

Is there a new socket created with every init or is it managed
internally. Is there a way for the user to be able to control the
sockets getting created?
